My love language is acts of service and gifting! So, for my family this Valentines Day I made cookies for all of us. This is my go-to recipe for chocolate chip cookies! Enjoy!
Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies
Prep time: 20 minutes
Chill time: 30 minutes to 24 hours
Bake time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups of flour
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp corn starch
- 3/4 cups of brown sugar
- 1/2 of white sugar
- 3/4 cups of unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
- 1 egg and one egg yolk
- 1 Tbsp of vanilla extract
- 2 cups of semi-sweet, milk or dark chocolate chips or as you would like!
Directions:
- Whisk flour, baking soda, salt and cornstarch in a bowl, set aside
- In a large bowl, whisk butter and sugars egg and egg yolk and vanilla together.
- Combine dry ingredients to wet ingredients mixing well
- fold in chips to your dough
- chill dough for 30 minutes or overnight. I like to wrap min in plastic wrap for this part, I like to write the time of when I am putting the dough in the fridge to the outside.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees, bake for 10 minutes. oven heats can very so check the color of your cookies before pulling them out you may need more baking time with your particular oven
- Pull out of the oven and let the cookies cool on the pan for at least five minutes then transfer to a cooling rack.
- Eat all of them, then repeat lol
